PLAY: a great way to capture an authentic portrait

Some of the best photos come from spontaneous and candid moments when kids are doing kid things. In a recent family shoot, this little girl just got up on her "stage," found a dried branch, and played around for a few minutes as the adults figured out our next location in the waning daylight. Luckily, I was able to catch a series of these moments and they are some of my favorites. Posed family pictures are beautiful keepsakes and I love creating these memories.
